See this outlet strip? I love it!!! Look at all the gizmos charging at the same time!!! Now, one would think that this outlet strip has a surge protector correct? NOT!
See how all the things plugged into the strip have a cord with some sort of box on it? The box says “adaptor” and it takes the BIG current that they use in Europe and is flowing into my wonderful strip and it reduces it to the current our stuff runs on.
Now, notice how your flat iron doesn’t have that box? If you want to melt your hair, plug your iron right into the strip. Otherwise go buy a wattage converter and set it on 50W, the low wattage. My curlers were still too hot to touch. I had to unplug them and let them cool off. I can’t imagine what would have happened if I plugged straight in!
So, buy the cool strip. I mailed you the link earlier. But also go buy this wattage converter. Radio Shack sells them. You can get them online.. probably even Wal-Mart.
You will be glad you did.
