Quick Update..

We're back. Everything looks very good so far. We need to get all the documents to Dr. Gordina so this will be short for now. Just wanted everyone to know we made it through our MOE appointment and will be going back to visit her again tommorow, not back to the MOE for try #2! let me get this all off to Dr. G and then I shall post more.

Welcome

We are Ian and Michelle Robson. We have 3 amazing sons: Corbin (15), Collin (12) and Aidan (5) and a beautiful daughter, Ariana ( 3 almost 4) whom we adopted from Moscow, Russia. Our "gotcha day" was August 22, 2008. Our older sons wish (demand actually) that the blog remain free of their photos and stories, so you will find that the blog is primarily about our youngest 2: Aidan and Ariana. As we transition Ariana into the family, the focus of the blog will be on documenting the little and big moments for Ariana to enjoy when she is grown.

August & early September were about research
Sept. 10, 2007 Phone conversation with Katrina
Sept. 11, 2007 Carol sent us our application for CSS
Oct. 10, 2007 We returned our application to CSS
Oct. 30, 2007 Final Homestudy visit with HOA
Jan 26, 2008 We received complete homestudy
Feb. 2, 2008 CSS received our final appostilled documents for dossier
Feb. 28, 2008 Our 171 approval from CIS arrived
April 25, 2008 Katrina called to tell us we were registered in Moscow region and we would travel late June at the earliest.
May 23, 2008 We recieved travel dates. We are invited to meet with the MOE on Monday, June 16.
June 13, 2008 We flew via Delta to Moscow, Russia
June 14, 2008 We landed and did minor sight seeing
June 15, 2008 We met Ron and Dinia
June 16, 2008 We were given the official Referral from the MOE for Ariana
June 20, 2008 Married 16 years, went to 8 Dr. Med
June 21, 2008 Flew out to begin the painful wait......
August 7, 2008 We flew out, Ian from Vancouver, Michelle from Tampa
August 8, 2008 We landed in Moscow Russia
August 11, 2008 Court Date
August 22, 2008 Gotcha Day
August 30, 2008 We leave Moscow at 2:40 Pm and we land in Tampa at 10:45 PM!! The minute we landed in Chigago for our lay over, Ariana became an American citizen!
