Really. The boy warned me. He said no fewer than 20 times that he wanted to wear the stockings on his feet. Yes, I had tried to explain that the movie "Santa is coming to Town" had children's actual stockings in it, but now we hang up special stockings that we don't wear by the fire place. I should have known. There I was fluffing the Christmas tree and in walks Aidan thinking they seem to work just fine. I should have known better. The minute he said it, I should have put them back in the box and hid them until the urge passed. Say, in December! I should have known. He also came in with my apron around his neck. At this point what is a mother of a free spirit to do?? You guessed it. I tied on the apron for him and grabbed my camera.

This is too funny! Now all he needs is the tree "skirt"! He's SO not going to be happy at about age 18 when you show his girlfriend these pictures!
