Do you need a laugh?

So, I am going to blame every bit of this on Corbin. See, Corbin and I have been at a stand off about the pool. It is turning greener and greener as I hold firm to my position that he should do some chores, and he is holding firm on how he thinks being nice to his little brother and sister by allowing them in his room for hours on end is all the chores he should do.

Ok, I broke first.

It was embarrassing. So, I dumped 2 canisters of chlorine in this morning. That's all I was going to do. He had to do the rest.

Then, Ana took a nap...and the pool brush called to me... "Just once around. It will still be green. He will still need to do this. He doesn't even have to know."

So, I grabbed the brush and went at it. Once around.. twice around.. on the third time around, I was trying to get the green powder into the filter at the bottom of the deep end. I started to wobble, and screamed really loud. I wobbled for what seemed like an eternity and then, you guessed it, in the pool I went. Clothes, shoes and all! Green pool to boot!

Oh no, it gets better.

Our home is being renovated for the sale. Carpenters, painters and tons of roofers are swarming all over my abode. So when I screamed at the top of my lungs they all came to watch... watch me fall in head first, big big but up in the air.. no grace what so ever. They howled as I climbed out and I overheard one say, "Well, I've never seen that before!"

What could I do? I took a bow, squeezed as much water out of my sweater and capris as I could and went inside to hunt down some new clothes (my closet was being painted, so I found them in the tub.)

So, that's my story. I still think it is all Corbin's fault. There is no way that God was teaching me to stick to my guns and be a firm mom. Nope. No way my little accident didn't put a spring into the step of a bunch of tired roofers. Uh uh. No way I am just getting old and I am not the dancer I once was. Nyet.

It is all my 14 year old's fault, and I am sticking to it.

And I really did NEED a laugh! It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who's had a crazy week! Good luck with getting things fixed at the house--that kind of stuff can drive you crazee!
