Don't worry. Be Happy.

Today's song is in homage to my own sons who performed this very song for our school today. Each Semester, the school hosts Fine Arts Day. Given that every student takes music, drama, dance and art (computer, PE, Library and Spanish too) there is a variety of performances. All the students traditionally come together to fill the auditorium and sing a final song. Today it was: Don't worry, Be Happy.

What a great song for PAPs! Isn't it amazing what we allow ourselves to worry about! OK, so maybe I am the only one. But, I have to admit that since Monday, April 7th, I focused on celebrating rather than worrying. I am not always successful. I would really prefer to KNOW that my baby girl is being nurtured mind, body and spirit until I get to her. For now, I have to pray and let it go.

In the mean time, I am focusing on preparing for her and enjoying my men. My ultimate goal for doing this blog is for her, not other PAPs or even myself. I was reading one of my books and it retold a scenario of an adopted child that wanted to know why her parents left her there for so long.. Abandonment will always be an issue for my baby girl as it is for all adopted children. I hope that this serves as a testament to my love for her, commitment to find her, and her importance in our lives.

Dear Lord, let me remember to let go of worry and put all of my trust in you. May I allow myself to be happy with all of the blessings you have bestowed upon this grateful heart.

Ariana, wherever you are, don't worry about mommy and daddy coming to get you honey. We will be together when the timing is perfect. Be happy my baby girl!!!
