First Mug Down!

We woke up at the wonderful hour of 4 AM. Both of us woke easily and were in really good moods for a 4 am wake up. I am not saying we looking good. In fact, it is a good thing my hair is flat. It covers up the bags under my eyes! All was going well until I HAD to pop my head in and look at my baby. Who of course woke up! And, what is a mom to do? I picked him up and rocked him, then took him to my mother's bed and laid with him until my husband drug me out proclaiming that the Michelle slush time fund he added to our schedule was all out.

Our timing was perfect. We walked right up to the plane as soon as they started boarding 1st class and we walked straight on. It was a smooth flight all the way to our first stop. Atlanta. My dear darling husband waited until I was on the plane to tell me that we didn't have a 4 hour layover. We have a SEVEN hour lay over! So, my plan is to do some computer work. Have some breakfast and then get on the subway to a movie theater and go see Sex in the City. Ondrea says it is a hoot. I am also on a hunt for the Shop a Holic series. It is just what I want for a laid back summer. I am reading another book by the same author, and I can't keep myself from laughing out loud.
So what is up with the mug? Ian collects Starbucks mugs as a way to commemorate all the cities he has been in. So, the mugs that we collect on this journey will be of special importance to us. We have long talked of the infamous Moscow Mug and what having one for our collection will symbolize. So here is Atlanta, as a metaphor for the beginning of a new leg in our journey.
I am going to go check email and try to get Nicole to answer her phone. (hint, hint Nic!!) before we head off to explore the great city of Atlanta.
I will probably post again before we take off.
Keep Praying. I appreciate it greatly.
Hugs!
Michelle

Over Caffeinated Mama said...

hey woman, did you actually leave the airport? You had the whole day, practically.

I hope the champagne was fabulous and the shrimp with avocado salsa was to die for. Now I hope you are snoozing yourself to sleep in your commfy first class chair.... grrrrrr, I'll be mad at you when I'm cramped into coach AGAIN! I want to travel with YOU! :)

I'm gonna start collecting those mugs, what a great idea for a caffeine addict!

Never, no never, will I leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5
