Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Festival

Ian and I have talked about going to Hunsader Farm for years and we finally made it. In years past we thought it was brutally hot. Well, I can only imagine how bad it was in the past because the weather was warm, but not brutal and we were miserable at times. In particular the corn maze was rough. No breeze at all. Just sun pounding down on us. It took 30 minutes to get the little ones cooled down. I will do things differently next time, but I would go again. Next time, remind me to take photos first. I planned on grabbing a pumpkin on the way out, so we put the photos off.. Well, the kids are grumpy, sweaty and tired in the photos. I might have to post one just for grins!

When we had lunch a random chicken appeared looking for hand outs. Ariana was cool with the chicken. Aidan chased the chicken. First the chicken ran away and then the chicken ran after Aidan. Now, Aidan is afraid of chickens... go figure.

The little ones enjoyed the train. The big ones got a kick out of the corn and pumpkin cannon. I was surprised how much there was to do. If only it were the mid 70s. Sadly, pumpkins and February don't have the same effect.
